About Us

Our History

My father saw a need for a funeral home in our neighborhood. Being a licensed Funeral Director since 1954 and from the area his entire life, my father knew the people and was confident he could help them during the worse time of their life. In June 1960, my parents, Edward and Catherine Guckin, moved into a house and established Guckin Funeral Home. Here my parents raised six children while opening their home to the needs of the community through funeral service. In 1976, I earned my Funeral Director’s License and joined my father in the funeral service. In 2008, my parents retired and passed on the legacy to the next generation. Denise and Thomas Voisard continue to serve all people in their time of grief. Throughout the years, Guckin Funeral Home Inc has always supported various communities and churches and strives to continues the tradition.
