Ngoi The Tran

It is with profound sadness that we share, Ngoi The Tran, has passed away peacefully at the age of 90. Ngoi was born in Vietnam as the youngest of nine children. He worked as an interpreter for the American Army during the Vietnam War. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, dad, grandfather, and friend. Ngoi showed great love and generosity for both people and animals.

Ngoi is preceded in death by his parents, his eight siblings, and his daughter Thuy Tran. Ngoi is survived by his wife, Nhan Vu, his five children and spouses, Mary (Ngoc) Tran, Anna (Van) Tran, Sonya (Son) Tran, Hop Tran, Duy Tran, and his nine grandchildren, Tina Dinh, Tyler Vinh Dinh, Curtis (Nhan) Campbell, Minh Khoi Nguyen, Minh Anh Nguyen, Minh Chau Nguyen, An Tran, Thang Tran, and David Tam Nguyen.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Holy Innocents Church, 1337 E. Huntington Park Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124. Visitation begins at 5 PM followed by a Funeral Mass at 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, family prefers memorial donations to be made to Holy Innocents Church.
