Joseph John Zagunis

Joe passed away peacefully at his home on June 9, 2026 with his family by his side. He has joined his parents, Joseph and Eva (nee Mooney) and his brother George to eternal life. He is survived by his loving siblings Joann Thomas (Bill), Marian Bitting (the late Charles), Diane DeCree (John) and John. He is also survived by a niece and nephews, great nieces and nephew.

Joe was born and raised in Juniata where he spent all of his life. He played baseball in his early years, loved sledding on the Juniata Golf Course when we were kids, and graduated from Northeast Catholic High School.

Joe kept busy being a 'Jack of All Trades' by helping others with their projects and repairs as he showed off his expertise. He would do anything he could for anyone, even if he was sick or hurting. Joe had a good heart.

Joe had a unique personality. He was close to his brothers and sisters and will be deeply missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to his funeral on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 beginning at 10 AM and concluding with a Memorial Service at 11:25 AM at Guckin Funeral Home Inc., 1419 E.
