David R. Russell, Jr.

It is with deep sadness, we share, that our beloved David Robert Russell Jr., passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, at the age of 55. David was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late David Sr. and Peggy Russell (nee Ayers). David is survived by his sister Kristina Griffin (nee Russell) and his nieces, Jasmyne and Alexis Griffin, whom David loved and helped raise like his own. He would take them to tee ball practices, help them with homework, taught them about the solar system, and took them on many a’ Wawa Slushie run. David's aunt, Jennie Dixon (nee Ayers), his sister's fiancé Harry Feinberg, best friends from childhood Robert Taylor, Allan Kniffin Jr, and Megan Homer and her girls who lovingly referred to him as uncle, many cousins, and friends, share our profound loss. He was born and raised in Philadelphia. David had a generous heart and loved his family and friends and would do anything for anyone. He was always upbeat and optimistic with a great sense of humor, trying to make others laugh on even his tougher of days. David was a wonderful cook, and the best on the grill every holiday. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and enjoyed spending his time watching sports games, and collecting sports cards. He will be sorely missed by many. We will love you always and forever. Rest well and fly high.
