David "The Bear" Bowers

Dave "The Bear" Bowers passed away peacefully at the age of 75, with loved ones by his side, on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. Dave was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Catherine (McDonald) and his beloved dog "Molly" with whom he is now reunited. Dave is survived by his wife Dorothy (Fisher), son Pete Bowers (Rosie) and daughter Angela Bowers (Ed), as well as his eight grandchildreln: Peter, Kathryn, Jacob, Madilyn, Kylie, Emily, Benjamin, Sophia and great grandchild, Penelope.

Dave is the dear brother of the late Robert Bowers (late Rosemarie), the late Kathleen Sikora (late Richard), Mary Muzychka (late John), the late Jerry Bowers (late Averta), late George Bowers (late Rose), the late Martin Bowers (late Margaret), the late Charles Bowers (late Margaret), and the late Thomas Bowers. Also sadly missed by nieces and nephews and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 10 - 11 AM at Guckin Funeral Home, Inc., 1419 E. Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124. Interment is private.
